At Genuine Interactive, we designed a social media driven website experience for a real-life fantasy basketball tournament. The site launched and was a catalyst that helped propel the pilot phase for this new concept.
The concept pitted teams of all experience levels built by General Managers who managed their teams both through offline and online recruiting. The site featured customizable dashboards that acted as a social media hub for building teams and recruiting fans. With enough fan support, teams became eligible to be reviewed by the TBT commissioner. The top 32 teams with the most fans were entered into the offline basketball tournament.
One of the challenges we faced designing and developing this website responsively was creating the 32 team bracket. Surprisingly enough, the tail-end of the design/development phase took place during March Madness and NBA playoffs. We scoured the web in search of a responsive bracket to no avail. I can safely say that we developed the first responsive bracket with this project.
